Job description
This role is responsible for performing technical and functional software specification, design, coding, testing, and documentation in support of our engine overhaul and repair operations. You will work within an Agile team to develop and maintain a mission-critical application that directly supports engine maintenance operations.
What You Will Do:
- Maintain and enhance the existing Delphi VCL application
- Debug and resolve issues in the current codebase
- Collaborate with business analysts to implement new features
- Optimize application performance and database queries
- Ensure application stability and reliability in production environments
- Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards
- Document technical specifications and user guides
- Support integration with external systems (SAP, databases)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years or Advanced Degree and 3 years of the following experience:
- Professional Delphi development
- Strong proficiency in Delphi Object Pascal programming language
- Experience with Delphi VCL framework and component development
- Knowledge of database connectivity (ADO, FireDAC) and SQL
- Understanding of Windows application development and deployment
- Experience with version control systems (Git preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex full-stack issues across browser, server, and database layers
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with Embarcadero RAD Studio (Delphi 10.x or newer)
- Knowledge of XML processing and web services integration
- Experience with reporting tools (FastReport, ReportBuilder)
- Experience with enterprise application architecture patterns
- Knowledge of database design and optimization
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database , PL/SQL, Oracle-specific EF Core provider, and Oracle migration scripting
- Experience with data migration or ETL pipelines - particularly integrating legacy systems with modern platforms
- Exposure to AI/ML integration in enterprise applications (prompt engineering, API integration with LLMs such as Claude or GPT)
- Experience in MRO, manufacturing, or aerospace environments
- Prior experience with Generative AI development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot)

Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
