Performs a wide variety of administrative, clerical and retail duties as Assistant to the Facility Manager. Processes titles from incoming vehicle purchases. De-titles outgoing vehicles. Provides exceptional customer service and direction to customers. Establishes and promotes retail promotions including scheduling of key events (50% giveaways, $100 wheel barrel etc.), facilitating communications, and day-to-day operations., * Greets and screens customers, vendors and other visitors including staff.
- Answer incoming calls in a courteous manner. Identifies caller's needs and responds by giving both general and specific information on products and prices.
- Give direction, respond to questions from customers, vendors, and employees and/or directs calls to appropriate area/person.
- Organizes titles and fills out proper paperwork to process required by the state of Colorado.
- Interacts with tow truck drivers and parts sales staff.
- Supervise online parts or car sales.
- Inspects both inbound and outbound customers for parts and tools.
- Maintains a presentable showroom.
- Manage vending machines/money.
- Tracks U-Pull-It metrics.
- Inventory management.
- Schedule retail work hours.
- Supervise, assign, and review work of Counter Clerks; provide training and direction as needed, back-up to the Counter Clerks.
- Assist with orientation and training of new and current employees.
- Review timecards and key data reports for accuracy; track attendance issues.
- Clerical functions including data entry, manage, develop, and run reports.
- Enter car production into Carmageddon.
- Cash Accountability: Balance cash drawer at the end of the day, processes payment for parts, handling cash, credit cards, etc.
- Contact vendors, maintain U-Pull-It side of operation
- Maintain appropriate copies for documentation and backup for filing and to support payments.
- Check day-end reports for accuracy; verify numbers and codes with tape.
- Completes any production and/or inventory reports as necessary.
- Perform other related duties or special projects.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Word processing?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, High School diploma or equivalent required. At least 2 years' experience working as a cashier in a retail environment and 1-3 years experience working as an office or clerical assistant. Qualified candidates must have at least intermediate level skills in Word and Excel. Candidate must have excellent customer service skills and ability to handle both customers and company employees with courtesy and respect. General knowledge of the difference between ferrous and non-ferrous material is a plus.
