Job description

Our client, a leading healthcare network in New Jersey, is looking for a Senior-level Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist to join their IT and Security team. This is a critical role focused on the security infrastructure of their Epic electronic health record system.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Epic user security. You will lead efforts in managing the full user identity lifecycle-including provisioning, transfers, and offboarding-while ensuring the organization adheres to the principle of "least privileged access." You'll work closely with business units to define access management workflows and conduct periodic access reviews.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and operational deployment of enterprise identity solutions.
  • Lead the build and maintenance of Epic security profiles, including Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC).
  • Collaborate with technical leads to establish organization-wide IAM policies and procedures.
  • Mentor junior staff and act as a consultant for high-level security troubleshooting.
  • Support system updates, new technology evaluations, and standard security maintenance.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours support.

Requirements

  • Epic Security Certification is mandatory
  • A minimum of 2 years of Epic security experience (5+ years preferred).
  • Proven experience in an analyst or governance role within a healthcare environment.
  • Deep understanding of Epic Security build best practices.
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with SailPoint, ServiceNow, and MS Office is highly advantageous.
  • Preferred: Epic Data Courier Mover Badge or Data Courier Administrator certification.

Benefits & conditions

This organization is recognized as one of the state's premier academic health systems. They offer a work environment that emphasizes professional growth alongside a competitive compensation package.

Full Benefits Package Includes:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Strong retirement plans and life insurance.
  • Generous PTO, including sick leave and paid holidays.
  • Unique perks: Tuition reimbursement, student loan support, paid parental leave, and exclusive employee discounts on local entertainment and services.

Our client is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
