Job description

We have an immediate opening for a highly technical, strategic, and hands-on Principal MarTech Data Engineer to take ownership of our marketing technology and data privacy infrastructure. In this role, you will be the driving force behind critical, transformative projects that are instrumental to our company's success.

The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in data engineering and is a natural problem solver. We are looking for someone who thrives on diving headfirst into complex challenges, learns new systems quickly, thinks outside the box, and is always willing to go the extra mile to build resilient data flows and ensure top-tier data governance.

What You'll Do:

  • CDP Architecture & Strategy: Own the technical architecture of our enterprise Customer Data Platform. Design the data models, event schemas, and identity resolution rules required to build a unified customer profile that powers real-time personalization and orchestration.
  • Data Integration & Pipeline Engineering: Architect and build scalable data pipelines connecting various internal databases, product telemetry, and third-party SaaS applications into the MarTech stack. Extensively utilize APIs, webhooks, and SDKs to ingest and route data securely.
  • Data Lineage & Quality: Establish rigorous data tracing and monitoring protocols. Troubleshoot complex data discrepancies end-to-end (from frontend capture/backend databases to downstream marketing platforms) to ensure high data integrity, reliability, and accuracy.
  • Privacy Engineering & Compliance: Take on technical responsibility of data privacy operations. Integrate various data sources with our Data Privacy Management/Consent platforms to automate PII deletion and Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Technical Leadership: Act as the bridge between Marketing, Business Systems, Data Engineering, and Legal/Privacy teams. Translate complex, high-level business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * Experience: 7+ years of experience in data engineering and integration engineering (must have a heavy focus on the Marketing Technology ecosystem).

  • CDP/TMS Expertise: Deep architectural and hands-on experience implementing and managing enterprise Customer Data Platforms and Tag Management Systems (e.g., configuring event streams, audience builders, state management, and server-side tagging).
  • Integration & API Mastery: Strong backend integration skills with extensive experience consuming and building REST/RESTful APIs, webhooks, and managing batch and real-time data streaming architectures.
  • Data Lineage & Analysis: Proven ability to map and trace complex data lineage across highly distributed systems, and ability to analyze dependencies.
  • Data Privacy & Security: Solid understanding of global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and the technical mechanisms required to enforce them across a decentralized software stack.
  • Programming / Scripting: Strong proficiency in languages relevant to data processing and web technologies (e.g., JavaScript/Node.js, Python, SQL).
