Job description
- Manage media, communications, and marketing content using technologies (HTML5, CSS3) and tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint and Premiere) to achieve department goals, project needs and client objectives.
- Publish content on content management systems (CMS) such as Cascade, Sitecore, Drupal, Joomla, or WordPress. Monitor division web sites for compliance with industry best practices and university policy including language use, spelling, broken links, EIR accessibility, privacy (GDPR) and search engine optimization (SEO). Monitor and report on website analytics, user behavior, and usage trends.
- Formulate wireframes and composition files to translate customer needs into viable web and multimedia formats.
- Coordinate and make critical thinking decisions with members of the campus. Assist with the creation of textual and visual content for print and web-based systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Do you have experience in JavaScript?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in a related field, two (2) years of experience in a related field, or six (6) years of any equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and Photoshop.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the use of current technologies and practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills., * Four (4) years of experience with a demonstrated knowledge of two (2) or more of the following HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, SASS, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere and content management systems.
- Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Cascade, Sitecore).
- Experience in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with accessibility testing tools (e.g., Siteimprove, WAVE).
- Experience with user experience (UX) design principles.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices for building inclusive websites.
- Knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first web development techniques.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques (e.g., lazy loading, image compression).
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
