Job description
- Provides technical support for computers and associated networks.
- Installs, troubleshoots, services, tests, integrates, and verifies software.
- Provides software and some hardware support.
- Connects internal network terminals to existing data networks.
- Maintains network diagrams and circuit records. Maintains troubleshooting logs.
- Instructs users in the use of computers and networks.
- Investigates information, network, and communications needs of users, and makes recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases.
- Performs basic network software programming.
- Conduct assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment or enclave and identify where those systems and networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
- Execute vulnerability assessments; ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
Requirements
- Education/Experience: Currently obtaining a AAS in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Cyber Security Specialist, Information Technology, Information Science with 0 years of experience
- Able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance per program requirements (i.e., Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI)
- Current CompTIA Security+CE Certification (DoD Approve 8570 Baseline Certification: IAT Level II)
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI security clearance
- A relevant, current technical certification (e.g., Windows Server 2008/2012, VMware VCP5/VCDX6) - A relevant, current security certification (e.g., Network+, Linux+, etc....)
- Familiarity with Systems Administration with Linux, UNIX, or VMS
- Familiarity with writing scripting languages such as Bash, Python, Perl, or PowerShell - Familiarity with network concepts, including firewalls, switches, routing and Ip tables
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $51,400.00 - $85,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
