Job description
United Health Services (UHS) is seeking an Application Analyst II responsible for identifying, evaluating, analyzing, and recommending changes to support assigned applications and systems. This role supports the full system lifecycle, including planning, design, development, build, and configuration, while providing ongoing production maintenance and advanced troubleshooting. The analyst leads or coordinates system conversions, testing efforts, and documentation, and serves as a primary point of contact for go-live support and post-implementation maintenance. As a subject matter expert, the analyst independently leads workflow demonstrations, resolves complex issues across multiple modules, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure system effectiveness and reliability., The Application Analyst II also mentors junior analysts, leads end-user training sessions, and contributes to training design and execution. This role requires a strong understanding of business workflows, IT functional areas, and the impact of system changes across teams. The analyst engages stakeholders, presents solution options with associated risks and benefits, and drives issue resolution and process improvements. Additionally, they serve as a key resource for vendor updates, change management, and system enhancements while supporting team initiatives and ensuring project tasks are completed on time., * Maintain certification in primary EHR module (if applicable) and demonstrate proficiency across multiple applications.
- Independently lead workflow demonstrations and functional presentations for users and stakeholders.
- Perform advanced system configuration, build, and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications and project initiatives.
- Act as a mentor and resource to Application Analyst I staff, supporting decision-making and prioritization.
- Manage and resolve complex tickets across multiple modules, ensuring timely and accurate solutions.
- Lead end-user training sessions and cross-functional meetings, including collaboration with IT and help desk teams.
- Develop strong understanding of cross-functional systems, workflows, and upstream/downstream impacts.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and interface teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.
- Analyze business needs and present solution options with clear risks, benefits, and recommendations.
- Solve complex, cross-team problems and communicate new workflows effectively to stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings, drive action items to completion, and lead team activities such as huddles or initiatives.
- Serve as a go-to resource for vendor updates, upgrades, and change management activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team performance and system efficiency.
- Foster collaboration by supporting peers, sharing knowledge, and prioritizing team and organizational success.
Requirements
- Two to three (2-3) years of healthcare operations (clinical, patient care, administrative or revenue cycle), information technology or health information technology experience
- OR
- Demonstrated competency in Applications Analyst I role
- For Epic roles: Current Epic certification(s)
- OR
- Willing to travel for training and achieve certification within 90 days of completion of training at Epic in application as assigned.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (information technology or clinical/healthcare fields)
- Current Epic certification(s)
