Job description
The IT Generalist supports the technology needs of the organization, its departments, and its religious community. This role blends hands-on technical support with a service-oriented mindset, ensuring that sisters, staff, and mission-related operations have reliable, secure, and user-friendly technology resources. The IT Generalist works closely with the organization's third-party IT support provider while serving as an on-site resource for daily technology needs. To support these efforts, occasional evening and weekend hours will be required., General IT Support & Collaboration
· Provide day-to-day technical assistance across all departments.
· Assist with special projects, as needed, based on departmental needs.
· Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and peripheral issues.
· Support technology rollouts, equipment installations, and system upgrades.
· Maintain IT equipment inventory and assist with lifecycle management.
· Document processes, common issues, and solutions to support internal knowledge sharing.
· Serve as onsite help desk point of contact.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Microsoft 365 Administration & Training for staff & Sisters
Mobile Device Support - setup, configuration, & troubleshooting for cellphones & iPads
Audio/Visual Support - Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio and video equipment for presentations, meetings, and community events
Telecommunications & Onsite Phone Systems - Set up, configure, and troubleshoot office and residential phone systems
Vendor Coordination - Coordinate with telecom vendors for service changes, repairs, or upgrades
Requirements
Do you have experience in iOS?, Do you have a Associate's degree in information technology?, Required: Associate degree in IT related field and at least one year experience in IT support, help desk, or generalist roles. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and administration. Familiarity with phone systems and basic networking concepts. Experience supporting mobile devices, especially iOS. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users with varying technical abilities. Ability to collaborate effectively with external vendors and internal teams. Commitment to supporting the mission, values, and respectful environment of a religious organization.
Preferred: Service-oriented mindset with a calm, supportive approach. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Comfortable working in a faith-based community living environment, while respecting their privacy. Previous experience in a non-profit religious organization.
