Senior Software Engineer, Compute Platform (Python/AWS) | Elite Boston Hedge Fund

• Design, build, and operate the core platforms that power quant research, portfolio construction, and automated trading workflows
• Partner closely with quantitative researchers, traders, and other engineers to translate complex research and operational requirements into robust, scalable systems
• Develop and maintain high-performance, distributed compute and workflow platforms spanning on?premise and cloud environments
• Build and evolve cloud-native infrastructure using modern containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure?as?code tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines)
• Manage and optimize compute, storage, and data infrastructure to support large?scale research workloads and time?sensitive trading systems
• Contribute to architectural decisions around workflow orchestration, data platforms, access controls, and dependency management across a heterogeneous technology stack
• Build tooling and internal services that enable efficient data analysis, modeling, backtesting, simulation, and strategy deployment

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering (or similar field)
• At least 4+ years of experience building applications or platforms with Python and AWS
• Experience working with complex, large scale distributed systems
