UNCOMN is seeking a Cloud/Platform Engineer (Senior) to:
- Build and support AWS environments, platform components, and deployment foundations for modernization efforts.
- Implement container and platform patterns across services such as EKS, ECS, registries, logging, and monitoring.
- Work with architects and DevSecOps engineers to turn approved platform designs into repeatable, supportable environments.
- Support provisioning, configuration, troubleshooting, and operational hardening across development and production environments.
- Help integrate platform services needed for application delivery, release management, and environment readiness.
- Contribute to platform documentation, operational runbooks, and implementation guidance for engineering teams.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical troubleshooting support?, * 8+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, CMIS, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or 4 additional years of related experience.
- Hands-on cloud engineering experience with AWS infrastructure and platform services.
- Experience supporting environment buildout, platform integration, and operational troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of containers, orchestration concepts, and automation-driven platform delivery.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cloud, application, and security team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in fast-moving technical environments.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance or similar, granted by the U.S. Government, which requires U.S. citizenship. The government also uses 13 adjudicative guidelines to determine an individual's eligibility.
- Must be willing to obtain relevant certifications as required by future client or contract needs.
Preferred
- Experience with EKS, ECS, or comparable container platforms.
- Experience with AWS GovCloud or similarly restricted cloud environments.
- Familiarity with GitLab-driven delivery workflows and environment observability tooling.
- Candidates local to the St. Louis Metro East market/within commuting distance preferred, although not required.
