Job description
Reporting to the Manager of Product Development, this position is responsible for supporting the validation for new product for AKG of America's market needs.

- Component selection (heat exchangers, pumps, fans, compressors, controls, etc)
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Assembly (DFA)
- Commitment to AKG's Corporate Principles
- Support market research led by Marketing and Product Development Manager and identify opportunities for product improvement within AKG's catalogue
- Support the creation of new tests and methods for validation and verification of product characteristics and requirements
- Execute verification and validation testing at the request of other departments
- Write technical report to summarize testing and validation efforts
- Provide engineering support to Testing and Validation department
- Build and test Battery Thermal Management Systems (BTMS) prototypes
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical writing within manufacturing?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering?, If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and working with precision equipment in a manufacturing environment, we encourage you to apply. We will train you..., * BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Strong thermodynamics background
- Strong structural knowledge
- Able to engineer creative and sound technical solutions
- Technical writing and English capabilities
- Strong Excel and Matlab data management skills
- Wiring and instrumentation experience (preferred)
- Data acquisition experience (preferred)
- Machine shop/fabrication experience (preferred)
- TIG welding capability (preferred)
- CAN Architecture familiarity (preferred)
- Experience with high voltage (desired)
- Experience with Battery Thermal Management Systems (desired)
