Job description
- Define and lead the end-to-end Salesforce architecture strategy supporting enterprise modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
- Establish architecture standards, design patterns, governance frameworks, and technical roadmaps across Salesforce solutions and integrated enterprise systems.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce solutions leveraging Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Platform, Agentforce, Einstein AI, and custom application capabilities.
- Lead architecture decisions supporting rapid application delivery, AI-enabled workflows, automation, and continuous modernization efforts.
- Define enterprise integration strategies leveraging APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native integration patterns.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Scrum Masters, DevSecOps Engineers, developers, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with mission priorities and delivery objectives.
- Guide AI-enabled development teams through architecture reviews, solution design sessions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
- Ensure solutions adhere to Salesforce platform best practices, security requirements, scalability standards, and governance controls.
- Design and oversee data architecture strategies that enable analytics, reporting, AI-driven insights, automation, and enterprise interoperability.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, Salesforce capabilities, AI solutions, and COTS products to accelerate modernization and reduce technical debt.
- Support DevSecOps adoption by promoting secure-by-design principles, automated deployments, reusable frameworks, and platform engineering best practices.
- Establish architecture governance processes to ensure consistency, quality, maintainability, and long-term sustainability across the platform ecosystem.
- Identify technical risks, architecture constraints, and scalability concerns while developing mitigation strategies to support successful delivery.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Zero Trust security?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Active Secret clearance and must be local to the DMV area with the ability to support onsite requirements in Washington, DC.
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified System Architect, or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II, along with an active professional architecture certification (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, TOGAF, or equivalent).
- 8-12 years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, or application modernization roles.
- 5+ years of experience architecting enterprise Salesforce solutions, with proven experience leading Salesforce implementation, modernization, and enterprise platform initiatives.
- Deep experience designing Salesforce solutions leveraging Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, custom platform applications, workflow automation, and enterprise integrations.
- Strong expertise in API design, system integration, event-driven architecture, and enterprise data management, with experience designing scalable cloud-native solutions in Azure, AWS, or similar environments and supporting Agile delivery practices.
- Demonstrated experience leading enterprise modernization efforts including business process transformation and application rationalization, with strong knowledge of security architecture, Zero Trust principles, identity management, and experience operating in federal or highly regulated environments.
SALARY RANGE: $165,000 - $175,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
