Job description

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) on behalf of our client in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or New Hampshire. This is a hybrid opportunity for a highly skilled automation professional with a strong Java development background and expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in test automation, API testing, cloud technologies, and database validation within Agile development environments. This role requires a hands-on engineer who is passionate about software quality, automation best practices, and continuous improvement., Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks and test suites. Create end-to-end automation solutions for web applications, APIs, and backend systems. Develop and execute automated tests using Java, Selenium, Cucumber, Karate, and Rest Assured. Perform functional, integration, regression, and database testing. Validate APIs using tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or Bruno. Collaborate closely with developers, architects, business analysts, and operations teams to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle. Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) initiatives. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality issues in a fast-paced Agile environment. Requirements

8+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or SDET roles. Strong hands-on Java development experience. Expertise with Selenium, Cucumber, Karate Framework, and Rest Assured. Experience with API testing and automation. Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, including database testing and validation. Hands-on experience with AWS services, including S3, CloudWatch, Step Functions, and Lambda. Experience working with PostgreSQL or other relational databases. Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing best practices. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes. Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams. Knowledge of software quality engineering principles and scalable automation frameworks.
