Job description

This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement, and supporting customer satisfaction. The Quality Engineer will serve as a technical resource, working cross-functionally to resolve issues, enhance processes, and maintain compliance with quality standards., * Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for assigned manufacturing areas, ensuring compliance with internal standards and industry requirements

  • Design and implement inspection and control strategies to improve quality performance and operational efficiency
  • Develop and maintain key documentation including control plans, inspection records, and quality procedures aligned with APQP guidelines
  • Perform process capability studies and measurement system analysis (MSA), and utilize visual tools to support decision-making
  • Conduct routine audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to specifications, procedures, and quality objectives
  • Analyze quality data, identify trends, and communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Manage nonconforming materials, including investigation, disposition, and corrective action implementation
  • Lead initiatives aimed at reducing variation, eliminating waste, and improving overall process capability
  • Act as a primary quality contact for customers by:
  • Supporting PPAP submissions
  • Responding to corrective action requests
  • Participating in warranty and quality reviews
  • Support and participate in customer audits and ensure customer-specific requirements are understood and implemented
  • Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes of quality issues
  • Implement containment actions and lead teams in establishing permanent corrective actions using tools such as 8D
  • Participate in new product development and engineering change processes, including risk assessments and validation activities
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure new and revised products meet quality and compliance standards
  • Support internal teams through training and guidance on quality processes and tools
  • Partner with supplier quality teams to address and prevent incoming material quality issues from impacting production or customers

Requirements

Do you have a valid Certified Quality Engineer certification?, Do you have experience in SAP ERP?, We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to provide hands-on support across product quality, process improvements, and new product introductions within a manufacturing environment.

Must be a US Citizen or existing Green Card Holder, no Visa Sponsorships of any kind will be considered at this time., * Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems; IATF 16949 experience is a plus

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T
  • Proficiency in metrology and measurement systems
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies:
  • APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, FMEA, MSA, SPC
  • Hands-on experience working in SAP within an ERP-driven manufacturing environment (required)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Minitab or similar statistical tools
  • Strong root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of corrective action processes such as 8D, * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Demonstrated experience using SAP within ERP systems (required)
  • Background in industrial, electrical, or HVAC manufacturing environments strongly preferred
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred
  • ISO 9001 auditing experience preferred; IATF auditing experience is a plus, not required
  • Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies preferred
