  • Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries, and direct calls efficiently using proper phone etiquette.
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance eligibility checks to streamline patient billing processes.
  • Collect and review medical documentation, including intake forms, care plans, and medical records, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for dental records and office documents while adhering to HIPAA regulations for health information security.
  • Support administrative tasks review, and documentation review to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist with office management duties including appointment reminders, patient check-in/out procedures, and handling patient inquiries with professionalism.
  • Utilize computer skills to operate EMR systems like Dentrix effectively; perform data entry with high typing accuracy (including 10 key typing).
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations and ensure patient needs are met promptly.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Typing?, * Proven experience in a dental office setting or healthcare environment with strong front desk or administrative support skills.

  • Familiarity with EMR systems Dentrix is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, and insurance verification processes.
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Bilingual capabilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software.
  • Prior clinic or dental office experience is desirable; familiarity with dental terminology or experience is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with experience managing medical records and filing systems securely under HIPAA guidelines.
