Job description

  • Hardware SupportSoftware & Help Desk SupportNetwork & ConnectivityVendor & MSP LiaisonOnboarding & Administration
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows 11 laptops and desktop PCs
  • Support Toshiba multifunction printers and copiers including jams, connectivity, and toner
  • Assist with VOIP phone system questions and basic troubleshooting
  • Maintain inventory of replacement parts and technology supplies
  • Purchase and configure hardware for new hires
  • Provide Level 1 help desk support for Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Support the iManage document management system (cloud-based); assist with an upcoming iManage platform upgrade
  • Troubleshoot Adobe Acrobat Pro and other firm-standard applications
  • Assist attorneys and staff with VPN access, remote connectivity, and file sharing via Microsoft OneDrive
  • Maintain a reference list of passwords and access credentials for court websites and legal portals
  • Help users navigate legal research tools such as Westlaw
  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues for on-site users
  • Manage and monitor the firm's wireless network
  • Coordinate with managed services provider (MSP) for advanced network and security issues
  • Act as the internal point of contact between firm staff and the MSP for escalations and service requests
  • Manage vendor accounts and relationships across multiple technology platforms and service providers
  • Coordinate printer and copier service calls with external vendors
  • Review and categorize technology purchases and provide documentation to the office manager
  • Manage hardware setup and technology onboarding for new employees
  • Coordinate with MSP for account provisioning and offboarding in Microsoft 365
  • Assist with large scan, copy, and fax jobs using multifunction devices
  • Assist with core software platform upgrade (late 2025)

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * 1+ year of IT help desk or desktop support experience - OR a degree in IT/Computer Science with hands-on technical support experience

  • Working knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware issues: laptops, printers, network connectivity, mobile phones
  • Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset - you'll be supporting attorneys and staff daily
  • Ability to work on-site Monday-Friday in downtown Buffalo, * How many years of IT Support experience do you have?
