Job description

Solu is seeking a Systems Administrator with strong VMware infrastructure experience, including vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, NSX, VCF, and Log Insight. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of agency-wide network hardware and software., * Design implementation administration and maintenance of agency wide network hardware and software.

  • Administration of physical and virtual servers.
  • Design, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems.
  • Systems optimization, patch management, and lifecycle planning.
  • Project management and meeting timeline deliverables.
  • Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS administration.
  • Data backup and recovery.
  • Respond promptly to technical, system and/or emergency issues when contacted outside of scheduled work hours, remotely or in person as needed.
  • Perform related work as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should be capable of working collaboratively across teams while also demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision., * 5 Years Experience in VMware administration

  • 5 Years Experience in networking systems administration
  • Experience with VmWare products of vSphere, vCenter, vSan, NSX, VCF, Log Insight
  • Experience with administration of physical and virtual servers
  • Experience with operating systems of Microsoft, Redhat, and Linux appliances
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and maintenance of complex systems
  • Experience with systems optimization, patch management, and lifecycle planning
  • Experience with project management and meeting timeline deliverables
  • Experience with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS administration
  • Experience with data backup and recovery
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to collaborate with peers, between teams, and stakeholders
  • Responds promptly to technical, system and/or emergency issues when contacted outside of scheduled work hours, remotely or in person as needed
  • Perform related work as required
