Help configure and prepare application environments for deployments and routine updates Assist with troubleshooting by reviewing logs, gathering details, and escalating issues to technical teams Support application release and patch processes by running checklists and entering information in the ServiceNow Change Module, performing basic tests using Playwright Test tools, and confirming successful deployments to the team. Contribute to automation efforts through scripting and repeatable operational tasks Monitor system health, track key metrics, and report potential issues Maintain system change documentation, Visio diagrams, and author and maintain the DevOps knowledgebase to support team operations Participate in meetings, support compliance documentation, and help coordinate change requests
About the Division: The Engineering Applications Services Unit coordinates and directs the planning, development, or procurement, installation, operation, and support of the following systems for the various Divisions, Branches and Units of the Department: HiCAMS (Highway Construction and Materials System) and related systems; Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) systems; Letting and Compliance Systems (LCS); Engineering Content Management (ECM).
The primary purpose of the Letting and Compliance Systems Unit is to develop and maintain applications that support NCDOT's construction project bidding, letting, and certified payroll business processes by providing IT tools and applications to facilitate the Transportation Lifecycle for the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
Knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC)
Knowledge of Agile & SCRUM processes

Bachelor's degree in computer science or an IT related field from an appropriately accredited institution
OR
Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development
OR
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Benefits & conditions
Salary Range: $70,528 - $105,793
The position is designated Statutory Exempt (EHRA) and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act
