Job description

As THE future proof Data DevOps Engineer you will contribute to make KPN a fully data driven company. The Data & AI Office (DAO) is part of the Technology and Digital Office (TDO) within KPN. DAO is responsible for enabling a digital data driven KPN.

Do you have ambitions in the field of Business Intelligence and working with big telecom data? Would you like to participate in a team that works on making KPN Digital interaction data-driven? Then you might be the new colleague we are looking for. You will work in a multidisciplinary team on insights that will bring value to improve digital experience.

You will join a team of approximately five data professionals responsible for all data originating from the kpn tv platform. This includes large-scale datasets related to customer viewing behaviour, tv subscriptions, platform interactions, audience insights, and digital usage patterns.

As an applicant for this role, we expect you to be highly motivated on contributing to these values. The vacancy is in the data team that is responsible for all data coming from the KPN TV Platform. At the moment this is done on a dedicated technology stack. Later this year the team will start migrating to the new Nexora platform. This means that we are looking for someone who has knowledge of the current and the new technology.

Unlike many migration projects, the team itself is responsible for designing and executing this transition. This creates a unique opportunity to modernize existing solutions and help shape the future data architecture of kpn.

We are looking for someone who understands the existing Microsoft data stack and is excited to help drive the transition towards the new platform. While familiarity with the current stack is important, the primary focus of this role will be on the adoption, development and migration towards the new technology stack.

  • Experienced in working with Streaming Data (f.e. reading from Kafka topics, handling streaming ingestion pipelines)
  • You have extended experience working with MS Azure environment
