This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, and gaining exposure to cybersecurity, networking, and systems administration. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, hands-on technical experience, and a desire to continue growing within the IT field.
Responsibilities of the IT Desktop Support Technician will include:
- Respond to and resolve IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, servers, networking equipment, and peripheral devices
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software systems
- Support user onboarding, offboarding, account creation, and access management activities
- Maintain inventory records for IT assets and equipment
- Assist with network connectivity troubleshooting and basic infrastructure support
- Apply software updates, security patches, and antivirus protections
- Support cybersecurity initiatives including multi-factor authentication (MFA), endpoint security, phishing awareness, and incident response activities
- Document technical procedures, issue resolutions, and system configurations
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to support business technology needs
- Assist with technology projects, upgrades, deployments, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows support?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, Education: High school diploma/GED required; Associate's degree preferred Experience: 2+ years of IT support experience required Four-day work week & excellent benefits package!, * High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or technical support roles
- Experience supporting Windows operating systems, desktop/laptop hardware, printers, and peripheral devices
- Familiarity with Active Directory, user account administration, networking concepts, and security best practices preferred
- Experience using ticketing systems and remote support tools
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to 50 pounds as needed
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus, * Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Experience with VPN connectivity, hardware imaging, and device deployment
- Familiarity with endpoint security solutions and cybersecurity initiatives
- Experience with ERP systems or manufacturing software environments
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or similar certifications preferred
- Experience with IT asset management and inventory tracking systems, * IT support: 2 years (Required)
