nSenior Data Scientist

NCC is seeking a \nSenior Data Scientist to join our team. This roll will support the customer by leveraging data analytics, business intelligence tools, and cloud-based technologies to improve operational effectiveness, program performance, and decision-making. This role will work with large and complex datasets to develop dashboards, generate actionable insights, and support data-driven initiatives across customer programs. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization, database querying, and cloud-based data environments.\n, * Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field. \n

• 9+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or a related field. \n
• Hands-on experience with Qlik Sense and/or QlikView for dashboard development and reporting. \n
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction and analysis. \n
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-based data environments, or demonstrated ability to work within AWS platforms. \n
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. \n
• Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources. \n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. \n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. \n, * Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance principles. \n
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation. \n
• Familiarity with AWS analytics services such as Amazon Redshift, Athena, Glue, QuickSight, or S3. \n
• Experience developing predictive models, statistical analyses, or machine learning solutions. \n
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management practices. \n
• Active Secret Clearance or higher. \n
• Experience presenting analytical findings to senior leadership and program stakeholders.\n

• Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. \n
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Qlik Sense/QlikView. \n
• Extract, transform, and analyze data using SQL and other data management tools. \n
• Support data integration efforts across multiple systems and data sources. \n
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions. \n
• Develop and maintain data models, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs). \n
• Perform data quality assessments and recommend process improvements. \n
• Create visualizations and presentations that effectively communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences. \n
• Support cloud-based data initiatives and analytics solutions within AWS environments. \n
• Document methodologies, processes, and technical solutions in accordance with NAVSEA and DoD standards. \n
