Design Engineer in Paterson

· Analyze existing drawings and supporting documentation for use in pending Customer proposals.

· Create new designs based upon pre-existing products or based upon Customer requests/specifications.

· Prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for direct submittal to Customers.

· Lead new product design encompassing conception, market analysis, prototyping, manufacturability, costing, materials sourcing, production planning.

· Assistance with the of promotional and marketing materials for new products.

· Project order entry, scheduling, bill of materials , production job packets, and component / raw material purchasing.

· Graduate of an accredited engineering school or equivalent job knowledge gained through directly related experience.

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Abilities required

· Proficiency in SolidWorks 2010 or higher

· Strong MS Office skills

· Extensive knowledge of materials with a strong emphasis on ceramic and metal properties

· Experience with ISO-9001 requirements

· Travel required
