Job description
We are seeking an End User & Desktop Engineering Manager to oversee our desktop support operations, endpoint engineering, and user-facing technology infrastructure. This role requires a blend of team leadership and hands-on technical management across diverse Windows environments-ranging from modern Windows 11 deployments to specialized, legacy Windows XP workstations., * Lead, mentor, and schedule the daily operations of the desktop support and endpoint engineering teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Manage user access, group policies (GPOs), organizational units, and identity workflows to maintain secure end-user access controls.
- : Oversee the deployment, patching, configuration, and security of all corporate end-user devices, including Windows 11/10 and legacy Windows XP environments.
- Serve as the tier-3 escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for employees and business operations.
- Maintain and secure legacy Windows XP endpoints through strict network isolation while mapping out migration strategies to transition users to modern hardware.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in IT desktop support or endpoint engineering, with at least 2 years in a team lead or managerial role.
- Technical Skills:
o Strong administration skills in Active Directory and Identity & Access Management (IAM) frameworks.
o Deep understanding of the Windows ecosystem, with hands-on experience supporting both modern operating systems and legacy Windows XP/7 environments.
o Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., SCCM/MECM, Intune) for software deployment and patching.
