Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Lead Level Designer to join the development of a new IP.

As a key leader of the Content Design department, you'll be helping guide Level Design, crafting immersive, engaging, and visually compelling gameplay environments. You will be responsible for aligning efforts on large-scale, open world levels for both single-player and cooperative game modes, ensuring they are fun, realistic, and aligned with the creative vision of the project.
As a member of the project, you'll help take the studio and our game from great to even better-with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Leading and managing members of the Level Design team to meet project objectives, quality standards, and production milestones.
- Setting clear goals and performance expectations aligned with the broader project vision.
- Collaborate with design leadership, artists, crafting unique spaces where gameplay flow and visual composition form memorable experiences.
- Designing, prototyping, implementing and polishing in-game spaces and content, including level geometry, enemy encounters and other gameplay activities, using our proprietary tools.
- Work within multi discipline teams to help create spaces for open world locations for a variety of quests and open world activities
- Providing constructive feedback on others' work
- Acting as a liaison to other departments, conveying the consistent design vision of the project
- Providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance management for level designers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a professional Level Designer (or some combination of applicable training and experience).
- Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, set priorities, and deliver against defined production timelines.
- Experience with technical game design (implementation in tools, game logic, visual scripting, etc.)
- Understanding and Execution of the fundamentals of Open World Level Design in modern game engines.
- Ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team and comfortable with self-critique and accepting outside feedback
- Strong organizational skills and a proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide clear, actionable feedback and support team growth and development.
- Experience pitching level design concepts in a clear, detailed manner, through strong written and verbal skills

- Experience in adjacent fields such as content design, narrative design, environment art, programming, etc.
