Job description

We're partnering with an early-stage aviation technology company building the software infrastructure that will power the future of autonomous airfield operations.

Their flagship platform is used by airport ground operations teams to coordinate aircraft turnarounds, manage real-time workflows, and improve operational efficiency across some of the world's most complex transportation environments.

They're looking for a Lead iOS Engineer to take ownership of their mobile application, drive technical direction, and help scale a mission-critical product from the ground up.

What You'll Do

  • Lead development of a high-performance iOS application used in live operational environments
  • Design, build, and ship new features using Swift and SwiftUI
  • Drive improvements in app performance, scalability, reliability, and developer experience
  • Own key technical decisions, architecture, and implementation strategy
  • Partner closely with product, design, operations, and engineering teams
  • Help establish engineering best practices, testing infrastructure, and development processes
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and build solutions that operate reliably in real-world conditions

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional iOS development experience
  • Strong expertise with Swift and SwiftUI
  • Experience building and shipping production-grade mobile applications
  • Strong software architecture and system design skills
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Passion for solving complex real-world problems through technology

Nice to Have

  • Experience in aviation, aerospace, transportation, logistics, mobility, robotics, or other operationally complex industries
  • Experience working on mission-critical or real-time systems
  • Startup experience with high ownership and autonomy
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled developer workflows and modern engineering tooling

About the company

Why It's Interesting * Build software that directly impacts real-world operations every day * Work at the intersection of aviation, autonomy, AI, and mobility * Join a small, high-caliber engineering team with significant ownership * Opportunity to shape the future of how airports and airlines operate on the ground
