IT Project Engineer

metro. We are hiring a full-time IT Project Engineer to take on server builds, network infrastructure projects,

migrations, and compliance-related technical work across multiple client environments.

This is the kind of role where the work you do matters and the impact is visible. We are looking for someone who can

own projects from start to finish, work independently across different client sites, and deliver quality work on deadline.

What You'll Do

• Lead and execute IT infrastructure projects across multiple client environments including server builds, network

deployments, and migrations

• Build and configure Windows Server environments from the ground up, including Active Directory, Group Policy,

DNS, DHCP, and file and print services

• Plan and implement network segmentation, firewall deployments, and VPN configurations
• Support and maintain virtualization environments, including Proxmox and Hyper-V hosts
• Deploy and configure security tools across client environments (Huntress, ThreatLocker, Duo, CrowdStrike, and similar)
• Assist with CMMC and compliance-related technical remediation including encryption, access controls, and

audit logging

• Perform server migrations, domain migrations, and email migrations
• Configure and deploy backup solutions including air-gapped and offsite configurations
• Document all project work thoroughly in ConnectWise Manage and IT Glue
• Support other team members with escalations and overflow work as needed
• Grow into higher-level technical work and eventually leadership as the company expands, * Genuine room to grow as the company expands
• Clear expectations and processes, no micromanagement
• Interesting technical work in structured, security-conscious, compliance-driven environments
• Direct input on tooling, processes, and technical direction
• Vendor certification training

Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * 3+ years of hands-on experience in an MSP environment supporting multiple clients

• Able to scope, plan, and deliver infrastructure projects independently
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience building and administering on-premises Windows Server environments , this is essential
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print server administration
• Hands-on experience with server virtualization (Proxmox and/or Hyper-V)
• Experience with firewall deployment and configuration (Fortinet, Sophos, or similar)
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, subnetting, network segmentation) Experience with managed switches and networking hardware
• Comfortable working across multiple client sites on different projects
• Strong understanding of ticketing systems, SLAs, and MSP workflows
• Professional communication skills with end users and client stakeholders
• Organized, reliable, and documentation-focused
• A genuine drive to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility over time, * U.S. citizenship required, our clients hold Department of Defense contracts requiring U.S. citizenship for all

personnel

• Located in the Phoenix metro area
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, required for onsite client visits
• Willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with applicable law
• Willing to take a pre-employment drug test, in accordance with applicable law

Bonus Skills (Desired but Not Required)

• Experience in compliance-driven environments (CMMC, NIST 800-171, HIPAA)
• Familiarity with CMMC Level 2 framework or NIST SP 800-171
• Experience with Huntress, ThreatLocker, Duo, or CrowdStrike
• Server migration experience (physical to virtual, domain migrations, email migrations)
• Backup solution deployment and management (Datto, Veeam, or similar)
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, Network+, Server+, Microsoft certifications)
• Experience with documentation frameworks, risk assessments, or security audits, * Are you a U.S. Citizen? ( Required, our clients hold DoD contracts requiring U.S. citizenship for all personnel accessing their environments. )
• Do you have hands-on experience administering on-premises Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Hyper-V?
• Do you have reliable transportation?
• Are you willing to travel occasionally for onsite work at client locations in the Phoenix metro area and potentially out of state?
