Data Architect

Data Architect Senior Barcelona, Hybrid model (1 day a week in office). Responsibilities Design, construct and migrate an end-to-end data platform using Azure, Databricks, Unity Catalog and ADF. Document architecture, technical roadmap and data strategy. Define governance framework and security (Unity Catalog). Design schemas and models for advanced analytics. Lead performance reporting and cost optimization. Drive migration from the current platform to the new architecture in Azure. Qualifications Minimum 6 years of data roles, with at least 3 years in architecture or technical leadership. Minimum 2 years of experience in Databricks environments (Apache Spark, Unity Catalog, Delta Lake). Expertise in Azure Storage, Data Factory and Power BI. Demonstrated experience leading the design and implementation of a large-scale cloud data platform from inception. Strong knowledge of Medallion Architecture, data modeling and CDC extractions. Solid understanding of security, networking and GDPR compliance in large data environments. Advanced programming skills in Python (PySpark), Scala or SQL (preferred). Experience with IaC (Bicep or ARM Templates) and interest in Microsoft Fabric (desired). High level of English proficiency.
