Full Stack Engineer

Here at Dignity Funerals, a purpose-driven organisation committed to supporting families at life's most important moments, we're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help shape and deliver the next generation of digital experiences.

This is a role for a hands-on technical leader who thrives on solving complex challenges while elevating those around them. You'll play a key role in driving engineering excellence, mentoring others, and shaping the future of our tech landscape.

What you'll be doing

• Own & deliver complex, scalable solutions across the full stack
• Drive technical direction - influence architecture, tooling, and long-term strategy
• Code with impact - tackling ambiguous problems with high-quality, maintainable solutions
• Lead from the front - mentor engineers and raise the bar across the team
• Improve and innovate - champion best practices, automation, and continuous improvement
• Collaborate widely - work cross-functionally to align product and engineering goals
• Handle the critical moments - confidently manage incidents and high-pressure challenges

• Strong experience delivering complex software systems at scale
• Proven ability to lead technical direction within a team or domain
• Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React
• Solid understanding of architecture, APIs, and database design
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and modern engineering practices
• A passion for mentoring and developing others
• The ability to balance fast delivery with long-term quality and scalability
