Job description

  • Support a statewide ERP program covering:
  • Financials
  • HR/Payroll
  • Recruiting
  • Reporting systems
  • Ancillary applications
  • Work within a statewide fiscal systems team supporting more than 100 agencies and multiple hub instances.
  • Contract supports an existing enterprise ERP environment and related service management platforms., * Provide senior-level systems analysis, technical consulting, and application support.
  • Review requirements, development, testing, and deployments performed by managed service vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, coding standards, and written procedures.
  • Oversee WCAG 2.1 accessibility compliance, testing, waiver submissions, tracking, remediation, and renewals.
  • Lead technical design reviews and assess:
  • Business processes
  • System workflows
  • Integration designs
  • Security impacts
  • Performance impacts
  • Scalability considerations
  • Review code and migration packages for compliance with requirements and standards.
  • Administer and support an ITIL-compliant service desk platform (BOSSDesk or similar).
  • Perform Level 2 support activities and coordinate with Level 3 managed service providers.
  • Troubleshoot complex incidents and conduct root-cause analysis.
  • Support integrations, APIs, reporting, documentation, and knowledge management.
  • Participate in:
  • Major Incident Management (P1/P2)
  • Disaster Recovery testing
  • Upgrade testing
  • SOC-1 audit activities
  • Deliver presentations to user groups and executive stakeholders.
  • Support IT security controls and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years supporting Texas state government agencies.
  • 10+ years supporting statewide financial or enterprise application systems.
  • 10+ years technical project management experience.
  • 10+ years strategic planning and roadmap development experience.
  • 10+ years executive presentation experience.
  • 10+ years vendor management and contract compliance experience.
  • 10+ years SDLC, data integration, and data quality experience.
  • 10+ years with:
  • PeopleSoft FSCM or HCM 9.2
  • PeopleTools
  • PeopleCode
  • Application Designer
  • SQL
  • PS Query
  • SQR
  • Application Engine
  • Oracle 11g or higher
  • 10+ years supporting CAPPS Central production/deployment activities across 100+ agencies and multiple hub environments.
  • 8+ years ITIL and service desk experience.
  • 3+ years supporting BOSSDesk or a comparable ITIL-compliant service desk application.

Preferred Skills

  • Software and hardware asset management best practices.
  • Legacy statewide financial systems production support.
  • Development of technical specifications for IT procurements., This role is highly specialized and appears targeted toward candidates with extensive Texas state government ERP experience, particularly in CAPPS and PeopleSoft environments. The strongest candidates would likely have prior experience supporting statewide financial systems, enterprise service management platforms, and large-scale public sector ERP operations.
