We're seeking a passionate and experienced engineer to support our Cyber Intel team in Laurel, MD, where you'll play a key role in delivering advanced Cyber Security and Data Management solutions for the Intelligence Community.
In this role, you'll work on cutting-edge challenges that directly impact national security-designing secure systems, strengthening mission resilience, and driving innovation in a highly collaborative environment., * Design, implement, test, and deploy advanced software security capabilities aligned with technical reference architectures
- Perform ongoing security testing and code reviews to continually enhance the security posture of mission-critical systems
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex issues across diverse software environments
- Develop engineering designs and new software solutions that proactively address emerging security threats
- Contribute to architecture decisions and maintain clear, thorough technical documentation
- Collaborate with team members and mentor others on secure coding and best practices
- Stay current with new technologies, tools, and methodologies to drive continuous improvement
Requirements
Do you have experience in Web services design?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required
- Twenty (20) years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
- Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree-Recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects
- A minimum six (6) years demonstrated experience out of the most recent 8 years developing production-Demonstrated work experience developing RESTful Service-Familiarity with cloud development techniques, resources, and tools.
Core Competencies and Skills:
- Experience in agile software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, problem diagnosis/resolution, and source code management practices & tools.
- Experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++ for distributed systems, with proficiency in networking, multi-threading and implementation of REST APIs
- Experience with the Spring framework, messaging frameworks (Kafka, RabbitMQ), streaming analytics (Apache Flink, Spark), management of containerized applications (Kubernetes).
- Experience with Enabling tools (Git, Maven, Jira), DevOps (Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab Cl/Pipelines), Continuous Monitoring (ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash and Kibana), Nagios)
- Experience with Apache Hadoop, Apache Accumulo and Apache NiFi
- Well-grounded in Linux fundamentals and familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl, BASH, etc.)
- Experience with AWS Cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Cloud security, and Automation (AWS Lambda, CloudFormation)
