Job description
As a Technical Team Lead: Data you will be working as part of an agile team to deliver solutions to our clients ensuring they get maximum value from their data. We play to people's strengths, and you can expect to be hands-on, providing the opportunity for you to utilise and continually develop your existing technical and project skills to deliver high quality solutions.
The Technical Team Lead role includes line management responsibility, where you will be assigned a number of Technical Consultants.
We work with a Winning from Anywhere approach but there is an element of travel to client sites when required, along with travel to our company conference and events.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Day-to-day line management of assigned Technical Consultants. This includes regular one-to-one meetings, approving holidays and reporting sickness.

Strong understanding of people operating systems and performance management systems.

Work with the Customer Delivery Manager to optimise the utilisation for all Technical Consultants within team.

Collaboratively work with Pre-sales, Commercial and Project Management teams to ensure projects are correct scoped and delivered effectively.

Working alongside the Technology Delivery Managers and Solution Architects to ensure solutions are delivered consistently and adhering to best practice.

Ensuring your delivery team is planned and scheduled effectively.

Work with the Practice Group Director and Customer Delivery Manager to define and continually measure key performance indicators for the technical team to ensure quality of delivery.

The triage and allocation of resourcing for customer support requests.

Awareness of each individual's full tech stack capabilities so that you can identify areas for technical improvement & development.

Work with the Practice Group Director & Customer Delivery Manager to ensure that there are personal development plans and related objectives for assigned Technical Consultants.

Ensure that assigned Technical Consultants align with appropriate certification, exposure and training to align with planned career progression.

Ensure that assigned Technical Consultants comply with all internal reporting, documentation, processes and Transparity standards.

Ensure that team holidays are proactively planned and prepared for ensuring stability of project and service delivery.

Management, coaching and mentorship of a team of Technical Consultants.

Work closely with other Team Leads to aid structure, on-going team and individual touch points.

Key focus for leadership role is supporting the team and enriching the Transparity Culture.

Assisting with technical delivery when required.

Designing and implementing robust ETL/ELT solutions in the Microsoft/Azure stack, primarily in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks

Designing and implementing data lakes with a medallion design approach.

Scalable solutions to satisfy our clients current and future needs.

Migrating on-premises data solutions to the cloud. So, knowledge of the SQL Server stack (SQL, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS) is beneficial.

The continued support and development of a data solution following go live.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SSRS?, * Ability to build relationships within a team and with our clients, creating an environment where people feel they belong and can fully contribute.

Ability to lead and demonstrate role-model behaviours in line with our company values

Extensive experience in a Data Engineering or Data Warehouse Development role involving hands-on experience with the Fabric, Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, and\or SQL Server technology stacks.

Experience in designing and developing ETL\ELT processes using the above technologies supported with underlying languages such as SQL and Python.

Knowledge of implementing and leveraging data lakes and medallion lake house design.
-
Experience of working with large data volumes of data from multiple sources.

Experience in writing complex Python \ SQL queries (DDL, DML), Notebooks and/or Stored Procedures.

Exposure to Analysis Services Development Multi-Dimensional\Tabular (MDX, DAX).
-
Understanding of business intelligence and data warehousing concepts.

Strong database design and development skills in any relational database technology.

Good knowledge of optimisation techniques and design patterns for large data solutions.
