Design Manager (Data Centres / Fire Protection)

Are you a Design Manager from a Mechanical background, looking for a new role within the Datacentre or Fire Protection industry, for a company who are rapidly expanding and investing in the business and their team, going from strength-to-strength?

This company provides design, maintenance and servicing for fire and security systems across the UK, working with large blue-chip clients in data centres, as well as commercial and government establishments such as hospitals and schools.

In this role, a successful Design Manager will work closely with the Project Director to help develop and support the design team. You will be responsible for a team of around six to eight designers whilst liaising across the business and with clients throughout the project.

This role would suit a Design Manager from Data centers, Fire Protection or a similar mechanical industry that is confident liaising with both clients and directors internally to ensure the smooth running of projects.

The Role:

• Lead and develop the design team (8 members)
• Robust drawing checking and approval procedures
• Work closely with Project Directors and clients throughout
• Lead design reviews and meetings, Design Manager, Fire, Security, Engineering Manager, CAD Manager, Drawing Office Manager, Manufacturing Design, Production Engineering, Data Centre, AutoCAD, Revit, Berkshire

• Proven experience in a Design Manager or similar senior role
• Mechanical Design background or similar
• Full Uk drivers license
