Job description
We are seeking a Power BI Reporting & Analytics Consultant to support project and portfolio management initiatives through the design, development, and optimization of reporting and analytics solutions. This role will partner closely with client stakeholders to transform complex business needs into actionable dashboards, reports, and data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making across large-scale programs and capital projects. The ideal candidate combines strong Power BI development expertise with business analysis skills, stakeholder engagement experience, and an understanding of project portfolio management environments. Experience supporting utilities, infrastructure organizations, or regulated industries is highly preferred., * Design, develop, configure, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using system data, Power BI Dataflows, and other enterprise data sources.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Translate reporting requirements into scalable and sustainable Power BI solutions that support project and portfolio management objectives.
- Develop and maintain data models, reporting frameworks, and visualizations that enable accurate, repeatable, and efficient reporting.
- Support data extraction, transformation, migration, and integration activities while ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish and monitor data quality metrics, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and reliability of reporting data.
- Participate in client-facing meetings, discovery sessions, workshops, demonstrations, status updates, and feedback discussions.
- Communicate project progress, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and enhanced reporting capabilities that increase operational efficiency and business value.
- Assist with ongoing reporting support, troubleshooting, and continuous enhancement efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Technical troubleshooting support?, * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in reporting, analytics, business intelligence, or data-focused consulting roles.
- Experience developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information to both technical and business audiences.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within cross-functional teams., * Experience supporting project portfolio management (PPM) platforms and reporting environments.
- Experience working within utilities, infrastructure organizations, engineering services firms, or large capital project environments.
- Experience within regulated industries, particularly electric, gas, water, or energy utilities.
- Experience leading client-facing discovery sessions, facilitating stakeholder workshops, and influencing business decisions.
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, data governance, and reporting best practices.
- Experience driving organizational change through reporting, analytics, and process improvement initiatives.
