Job description
The role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the networking infrastructure across the on-premises environment and multiple cloud platforms, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure. Expertise in applying best practices in these three major cloud technologies will be crucial in ensuring the secure and efficient operation of the Bureau's cloud-based systems.

- Work with the cloud team for implementation and deployment of the cloud network architecture, ensuring that the solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.
- Planning, performing, testing, and documenting network posture to ensure proper/secure connectivity and operations within our cloud environments and external connections.
- Ensure interoperability between applications that need to securely communicate.
- Creating and maintaining necessary supporting configuration artifacts such as network maps, detailed designs, test plans, operations readiness test reports, device configurations, and maintenance processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to define technical requirements, develop network architecture, and identify risks and mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- At Minimum Four (4) to Eight (8) years proven experience with hands-on Network Architecture and/or Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree. In lieu of degree Four (4) additional years of experience will be needed.
- Hands-on experience in Cloud Environment in one or more of the cloud platforms listed above.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud networking and routing to include VPCs, subnetting, security groups, route tables, peering connections, direct connect direct connect gateway, IPv4, IPv6, dynamic routing, network performance monitoring, vpn, firewall, route53, MTIPS, and IPSEC.
- Demonstrated knowledge of network architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices across routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
- Experience of at least one Infrastructure-as-Code tool (Terraform, CloudFormation, python, GitHub, etc.).
- Working knowledge of federal compliance and security standards.
- Ability to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences.
- Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder.

- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
What Would Be Nice to Have :
- Professional certifications related to cloud networking, such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty, Google Cloud Certified - Network Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate.
- Experience in designing and implementing hybrid cloud networking solutions.
- Knowledge of container networking technologies, such as Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
- Master's degree in computer science or IT or Engineering or related disciplines
- Cisco CCNP or equivalent.
