Job description

As a Java Full Stack Technical Lead, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, high-performing enterprise applications across backend and frontend technologies. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and collaborate closely with architects, developers, and DevOps teams to drive technical excellence and innovation.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design and development of full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and modern UI frameworks.
  • Architect and implement microservices-based solutions ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, driving best practices and coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Drive CI/CD implementation, cloud adoption, and containerization using modern DevOps practices.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices architecture.
  • Hands-on expertise in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience working with Oracle databases and PL/SQL (stored procedures, functions, triggers).
  • Knowledge of RESTful services and integration technologies (JAX-RS, JMS, APIs).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/CloudBees), build tools (Maven/Ant), and version control.
  • Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of design patterns and enterprise architecture best practices.

These will help you stand out

  • Experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of UI frameworks such as Oracle JET, Knockout.js, or similar.
  • Familiarity with application servers (WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat).
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Jasper Reports, BI Publisher, or Apache POI.
  • Exposure to Generative AI technologies or AI-powered application enhancements.

Benefits & conditions

The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 - $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
