Locations: Roseville, CA Office - Initial onsite training required. Following successful completion of training, remote overnight work may be considered based on business needs, performance, and management approval., The IT Senior Systems Analyst position is a senior-level role for our Information Technology and Help Desk departments. Employees in this position serve as the escalation point for IT Technicians and for IT Systems Analyst within the company and are expected to display a high level of customer service and communication while delivering project outcomes on time and satisfying client or other stakeholder requirements.
Additionally, those in the IT Systems Analyst role are diligent and organized team players who can troubleshoot and resolve multiple issues by multi-tasking, prioritizing, and managing time effectively.
Key Responsibilities
· Serves as an escalation point for IT Technicians and IT Systems Analysts to resolve technical issues. Provide IT technical support either by phone, remote access, or site visits as needed.
· Communicates technical issues and solutions with customers in terms appropriate for the audience.
· Protects systems and data at multiple layers. Identifies potential issues proactively.
· Interacts with vendors for support, design, and incident management.
· Installs, configures, and upgrades software and hardware.
· Participates in the planning, design, and implementation of system engineering projects.
· Analyzes, evaluates, tests, debugs, and implements changes supporting the company or client infrastructure, business processes, operations, and product systems.
· Analyzes, installs, modifies and supports various operating systems, databases, and utility software.
· May contribute to the development, testing, evaluation, or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.
· Develops content for and maintains technical documentation (site surveys, network diagrams, systems knowledge base, etc.).
· Provides clear documentation of completed projects for various stakeholders.
· Escalates issues to appropriate staff for prompt resolution.
· Document issues and resolution in IT Documentation Systems.
· Resolve, respond to, and update tickets in Ticketing Systems.
· Provides system architecture consultations to internal and external resources.
· Performs data backup services.
· Monitor client systems, network infrastructure, backup processes, and automated alerts during overnight hours.
· Respond to and troubleshoot after-hours incidents, outages, and service interruptions.
· Escalate critical issues to appropriate technical staff in accordance with established procedures.
· Document overnight activities, incidents, resolutions, and system observations to support shift handoff and operational continuity.
· Maintain awareness of system performance and proactively identify potential issues requiring follow-up
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, · 4+ years of experience providing desktop support experience, including but not limited to:
o Desktop and laptop hardware;
o MS Windows 10 and 11;
o MS Office 2016/Office 365 applications;
o Mobile devices (i.e. iPhone, Android, etc.);
o VoIP Phone Services (Hosted VoIP Solutions).
· 4+ years of hands-on Server Administration experience, including but not limited to:
o Active Directory / Directory Services (AD, DNS, DHCP, WINS);
o Hands-on desktop experience (WIN10 and WIN 11) and troubleshooting;
o HP / Dell Server hardware;
o Email Systems / Message Integration and Collaboration / Office 365;
o Understanding virtualization technologies.
· 2+ year of networking and architecture experience. Understanding of WAN/LAN and DNS terminology and knowledge of how to troubleshoot.
· CompTIA+ Certification (Note: External applicants who do not hold this certification at the time of hire will remain in the introductory/probationary period until they successfully obtain certification).
· Ability to resolve issues related to Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office/Office 365, and Microsoft Server Architecture, as well as an understanding of WAN/LAN network troubleshooting.
· Advanced Troubleshooting knowledge.
· Well-versed in IT documentation practices, understanding the importance of how critical it is to maintain accurate and detailed documentation.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent reasoning, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent decision-making skills to plan, perform, problem-solve.
· Comfortable speaking to clients regarding their technology needs and making recommendations.
· Ability to work through issues from start to finish and report back with root causes and recommendations.
· Ability to work from a ticketing system and provide quality updates to clients and internal teams.
· Ability to work independently during overnight hours with limited direct supervision.
· Ability to prioritize multiple alerts, incidents, and support requests in a fast-paced environment.
· Availability to work an assigned overnight schedule and participate in shift handoff communications
· Excellent collaboration and teamwork skills.
