Job description
As a Battery Systems Lab Technician, you will play a pivotal role in validating next-generation energy storage technologies by ensuring the precision and reliability of our testing infrastructure. You will collaborate directly with engineering teams to execute complex test protocols, troubleshoot hardware anomalies, and maintain the high-performance laboratory environment necessary for product development. Responsibilities
- Configure and manage sophisticated battery and powertrain test setups to ensure seamless data acquisition.
- Drive product validation by executing rigorous test cycles while proactively minimizing equipment downtime.
- Analyze test failures and provide actionable insights to engineering teams to accelerate development timelines.
- Fabricate custom test fixtures and instrumentation to support unique experimental requirements.
- Streamline laboratory operations by developing and maintaining comprehensive electronic standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure laboratory excellence through routine equipment maintenance and the promotion of a clean, organized workspace.
- Mentor team members on best practices and standardized testing methodologies to elevate overall team performance.
- Document all experimental activities and test results with high precision using digital management systems.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Technical writing within manufacturing?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a testing, manufacturing, or engineering laboratory environment.
- Strong proficiency with instrumentation, data collection systems, and power tools.
- Proven ability to author and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
- Solid understanding of workplace safety standards and risk mitigation.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record., * Direct experience with high-voltage battery systems and low-voltage electronics.
- Familiarity with automotive test cell environments and reliability testing methodologies.
- Relevant high-voltage safety certifications.
- Operational experience with heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes.
