Job description
As a Senior Architect (Java / Cloud / Microservices) , you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, enterprise-grade solutions that support complex business needs within the healthcare payer domain. You will be a valued member of the engineering and architecture team and work collaboratively with product, business, UX, and delivery stakeholders to drive successful product outcomes., * Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies
- Translate business requirements and product vision into technical architecture, identifying risks, blockers, and feasibility considerations
- Define and promote best practices, standards, and architectural guidelines across multiple Agile value streams
- Partner with stakeholders to present and align on solution blueprints and ensure successful product delivery
- Mentor and guide engineering teams on modern architecture patterns including microservices, APIs, event-driven design, and Domain-Driven Design

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise application development, including 6+ years in architecture roles
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, design patterns, and microservices architecture
- Experience designing APIs, event-driven systems, caching, and secure distributed architectures
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, performance, and non-functional requirements (availability, security, failover)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GIT, and modern DevOps practices
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX, QA, DevOps) in Agile environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex architectures to technical and non-technical stakeholders
These will help you stand out
- Experience in healthcare payer domain or regulated industries (PCI, PII, PHI, ADA compliance)
- Strong knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), micro frontends, and distributed systems
- Experience with concurrency, parallel processing, and large-scale system design
- Hands-on experience evaluating new technologies, vendors, and leading POCs
- Demonstrated ability to influence enterprise-wide architecture decisions and drive innovation
