Job description
An AWS Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure on AWS. The role includes leading cloud migration initiatives, assessing existing on-premises environments, defining migration strategies, and ensuring successful adoption of cloud-native architectures., * Design and architect AWS-based infrastructure solutions.
- Develop cloud migration strategies, roadmaps, and transformation plans.
- Assess current infrastructure and recommend migration approaches (rehost, replatform, refactor, retire, retain, repurchase).
- Lead end-to-end migration projects from on-premises or other cloud platforms to AWS.
- Implement high availability, disaster recovery, security, and compliance best practices.
- Automate infrastructure deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Optimize cloud performance, scalability, and costs.
- Collaborate with application, security, networking, and operations teams.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout migration and modernization efforts.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, EKS/ECS, Route 53, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with cloud migration frameworks and tools.
- Knowledge of networking, security, identity management, and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and architecture documentation skills., * AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.
- Experience with large-scale enterprise cloud transformations.
- Knowledge of DevOps, FinOps, and cloud governance practices.
