Job description

The Systems Administrator, Installation is expected to be able to accomplish the following:

  • Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
  • Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
  • Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • May be assigned responsibility for less experienced staff., + Microsoft Windows Server certification (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate)
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Linux+ (CompTIA)
  • VMware VCP, We are seeking a Systems Administrator, Installation to join our Task Order proposal on the Defense Intelligence Agency's Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise III (SITE III). The Systems Administrator, Installation m aintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI + CI Poly clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in systems administration within enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting multi-user systems in Windows and/or Linux server environments.
  • Experience operating within DoD or Intelligence Community environments.
  • One of the following DoD 8570/ SP-SYS-002 c ertifications, * Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to grip, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 10 pounds.

The employee is frequently required to lift up to 25 pounds; and up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
