Our team consists of passionate professionals committed to excellence and customer satisfaction.We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant IT Specialist - Building Automation to strengthen our team. You will work in a multidisciplinary team of experts, supporting domains such as HVAC, Security, and Fire Protection. Your focus will be on network and system design, connectivity of building management systems, cybersecurity, virtualization, and IT/OT integration, as well as managing upgrades in line with ITIL best practices.

You will contribute to impactful projects for high-profile clients, including European institutions such as the European Commission.

Your tasks:

  • Design and implement IT Infrastructure solutions for building automation systems.

  • Manage server infrastructure and application hosting (on-premises/cloud), including provisioning, hardening, backup, and recovery including certificate management and identity management.

  • Administer virtualization platforms including performance tuning and high availability.

  • Implement cybersecurity measures for OT/IT environments, including segmentation, access control, monitoring, and vulnerability management.

  • Plan and coordinate upgrades, patches, and firmware updates in line with ITIL change management practices.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to connectivity, authentication, virtualization, and systems across domains as part of incident and problem management

  • Document architectures, configurations, and changes, maintaining accurate asset and configuration records.

  • Support internal and external stakeholders and act as ICT liaison for building automation projects.

  • Provide training and guidance on ICT best practices and secure system operations.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Windows?, * Hold a degree in IT/Engineering or equivalent experience with preferably 7+ years in IT/OT or building automation.

  • Demonstrate strong skills in servers (Windows/Linux) and networking (routing, switching, security), and system integration.

  • Speak Dutch and/or French with good English.

  • Hold or be willing to obtain security clearance (National, Institutions, NATO level).

  • Work with virtualization platforms (Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox) and application hosting.

  • Apply OT/IT cybersecurity practices and manage PKI/X.509 certificates (TLS/SSL).

  • Administer identity & access (Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos/NTLM) and understand ITIL processes.

  • Have knowledge of building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus, KNX) and manage patching/upgrades.

Preferred:

  • Hold certifications (CCNA, Security+, CISSP, ITIL, Microsoft).

  • Work with certificate services (AD CS, OpenSSL) and advanced virtualization/HA.

  • Know OT security frameworks (NIST, IEC 62443) and cloud (Azure/AWS).

  • Be familiar with building management systems / Siemens tech and project or ITSM environments.
