Data Governance & AI Consultant - Retail

As a Data Governance & AI Consultant, you help retail and consumer-services organizations structure their data and make it suitable for scalable analytics, AI and agentic use cases. You design data operating models, implement governance, improve metadata and data quality, and translate strategy into practical ways of working. You can facilitate workshops, align stakeholders and make complex data topics understandable for business and IT. How you strengthen the team

• Design and improve data operating models, governance structures, roles, responsibilities and decision-making.

• Facilitate workshops on data ownership, data quality, metadata, data definitions, lineage, data catalogues and AI readiness.

• Perform data maturity and AI-readiness assessments and translate findings into practical roadmaps.

• Operationalize data governance: not only policy, but processes, tooling, KPIs and adoption.

• Connect business, IT, data teams, security/privacy and management in pragmatic improvement initiatives.

• Contribute to propositions, client decks, service offerings and thought leadership in retail data and AI., You will work within CGI's retail team on assignments where data, governance, AI and digital transformation come together. The focus is on consultants who not only advise, but also help make governance workable in large, complex organizations with different domains, brands, systems and maturity levels. What we offer

Do you have experience in Tableau?, * 5-10 years of experience in data management, data governance, analytics, business consulting or digital transformation.

• Proven experience with data governance in an enterprise environment; retail or consumer services is strongly preferred.
• Experience with metadata, data quality, data ownership/stewardship, data catalogues, lineage or data policies.
• Able to independently prepare and facilitate workshops and translate outcomes into clear deliverables.
• Understands how data governance enables trustworthy analytics, AI and automation.
• Professional fluency in Dutch and English; strong advisory and presentation skills.

We would also value

• DAMA CDMP Foundation/Practitioner or comparable data management certification.
• Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900), Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900), Databricks or Snowflake fundamentals.
• Experience or certification with Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Informatica, Alation, dbt, Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of privacy/GDPR, information security, ISO 27001, COBIT, ITIL or AI governance frameworks.
• Experience with retail data domains such as customer, product, pricing, promotions, supply chain, store operations, e-commerce or loyalty.
