Make a difference as Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist within the Seed Robotics & AI team, you will develop data-driven solutions that improve seed quality, producibility, and processing efficiency. You play a key role in translating complex data into actionable insights and scalable solutions. Your work contributes to optimizing seed production processes, enabling automation, and improving decision-making across operations and R&D.

You will collaborate closely with engineers and domain experts to ensure that data science solutions are effectively applied in real-world environments and operational workflows. Furthermore, you are curious about the domain, proactively engage with stakeholders, and enjoy turning complex challenges into tangible solutions that create measurable value.

Your responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy machine learning and AI models for seed quality analysis, classification, and prediction
• Work with diverse datasets to support automation and decision-making
• Translate operational and research questions into scalable analytical solutions
• Contribute to integrating data-driven solutions into operational processes and systems
• Contribute to end-to-end solution development, from data exploration to deployment and continuous improvement
• Work in an Agile environment, continuously iterating and improving solutions based on feedback
• Partner with IT and data platform teams to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions

Your team

You will be part of the Seed Robotics & AI team, focused on developing and implementing data-driven solutions related to seed quality, processing, and production. The team operates globally and collaborates closely with Seed Operations, R&D, and external partners. Together, you contribute to improving quality and increasing scalability through automation and advanced analytics.

We work in a multidisciplinary environment where different areas of expertise come together, with a strong emphasis on delivering solutions that work in practice, not just in theory.

Do you have experience in SciPy?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * A bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field, with 2-5 years of relevant work experience.

• Strong Python skills, including experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) and data science libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy
• Experience with AI, machine learning and predictive modeling
• Proven experience with data pipelines, cloud environments (f.e. ata Bricks, Azure ML, and Blob storages), or MLOps is a plus
• Experience with version control and collaborative development practices
• Willingness to collaborate internationally and occasionally travel
• A curious mindset and willingness to learn about biological processes and production environments
