DevOps Engineer

As a Senior Java DevOps / Full Stack Engineer, you contribute equally to front-end and back-end development. A major focus of this role is the migration of legacy payments software to LitHTML. You work end-to-end on your applications and take ownership from design to production and support.

Roles and responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Java-based payment services
• Develop and modernise front-end components using modern frameworks
• Contribute to the migration from legacy technology to LitHTML
• Design clean APIs and technical solutions aligned with clean architecture
• Ensure security, stability and performance of applications
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments
• Monitor applications, resolve incidents and continuously improve reliability
• Actively contribute to refinement, technical improvements and user stories

Do you have experience in Vue.js?, * Senior experience as a Java developer

• Strong knowledge of:

• Java 21, Spring Boot
• REST APIs
• SQL, JPA
• TypeScript, NPM

• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Experience with test automation
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Elastic, Log4J, Kibana, Grafana)
• Awareness of application security principles
• Experience with component-based front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, Svelte or Lit)
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Nice to have

• Experience in a financial or regulated environment
• Experience within ING
