Somek and Associates are seeking a detail-oriented Medico-Legal Reports Proofreader to join our team in Chesham. This permanent, full-time position is ideal for an entry-level candidate looking to start their career in proofreading or someone who already has related experience. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and clarity of medico-legal Expert Witness reports and related documents, contributing to the overall quality of service we deliver to clients., * Review and proofread medico-legal reports and documents for consistency and grammatical, typographical, and formatting errors.
- Ensure costings within reports are correct (this involves good mathematical skills and experience of Excel spreadsheets.)
- Ensure compliance with medico-legal standards and organisational guidelines.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to clarify any ambiguities in documents.
- Maintain accurate records of revisions and changes made to documents.
- Assist in the preparation of final documents for submission.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Proofreading?, * Degree or equivalent qualification preferred or prior experience in a proofreading role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
- Basic understanding of medico-legal terminology is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to prioritise and manage report deadlines
