SC Cleared Product Owner - Cloud Hosting/Digital services/UK Defence

We are supporting a leading organisation operating within the UK Defence and Aerospace sector on a major secure digital transformation programme.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Product Owner (Cloud Hosting) to lead the vision, strategy and delivery of enterprise cloud hosting services supporting critical business and operational platforms.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Product Owner with strong cloud platform knowledge and proven experience working within complex, highly regulated environments where security, resilience and stakeholder engagement are paramount.

The Opportunity

Working at the intersection of business and technology, you will take ownership of a Cloud Hosting Product, driving its roadmap, backlog and delivery strategy whilst ensuring alignment with wider digital and business objectives.

You will act as the voice of the customer, working closely with senior business leaders, architects, platform engineers and delivery teams to translate business requirements into secure, scalable and value-driven cloud solutions.

This role requires someone who can confidently engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, influence decision making and successfully balance business priorities, security requirements and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage the Cloud Hosting Product vision, strategy and roadmap
• Own and prioritise the Product backlog, Epics, Features and User Stories
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and translate requirements into technology solutions
• Lead delivery of Product increments across the full product lifecycle
• Act as the primary interface between business, engineering and architecture teams
• Drive Product performance, delivery velocity and continuous improvement
• Ensure security, compliance and risk management requirements are Embedded throughout delivery
• Support Solution Architects in shaping integrated platform solutions
• Champion user experience, service adoption and self-service capabilities
• Manage dependencies across multiple products, programmes and technical teams
• Provide leadership and direction to Product and delivery teams

Essential Experience

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in Product Ownership, Product Management or Technology Delivery roles
• Strong understanding of cloud hosting platforms within large enterprise environments
• Experience delivering cloud-based technology solutions from concept through to release
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior business and technical stakeholders
• Strong digital business skills with the ability to align technology initiatives to organisational goals
• Experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, priorities and dependencies
• Excellent requirements gathering, analysis and user story creation skills
• Strong understanding of security, compliance and risk management principles
• Experience leading teams and managing delivery within complex environments
• Exceptional communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills

Defence & Aerospace Experience

Candidates will demonstrate experience delivering digital, cloud or platform services within one or more of the following environments:

• UK Defence
• Defence Digital
• MOD programmes
• Aerospace
• National Security
• Highly regulated government environments

An understanding of secure delivery practices and working within security-cleared environments is highly desirable.

Technical Knowledge

Applicants should possess a good understanding of:
