Salesforce Solution Architect (Contract-to-Hire)

• Direct exposure to CIO, VP leadership, and executive stakeholders
• Work alongside a vendor, then transition into the internal platform owner
• Unique architecture role combining Salesforce + LIMS + enterprise integrations

What You'll Do

• Serve as the lead Salesforce architecture advisor for a Force.com-based LIMS implementation
• Partner with the implementation vendor to review architecture, configuration, and data models
• Ensure scalable, maintainable, and high-performing Salesforce/LIMS solutions
• Design and guide integration strategy across enterprise systems (ERP, finance, reporting, etc.)
• Support data migration, lifecycle management, and data integrity
• Establish architecture governance, standards, and best practices
• Translate complex architecture decisions into clear direction for business and executive stakeholders
• Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform ownership and scalability
• Transition into the internal SME and owner of the Salesforce-based LIMS platform

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * Proven experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect or Technical Architect

• Deep expertise in Salesforce platform architecture (Force.com)
• Strong experience with API-based and event-driven integrations
• Experience guiding or overseeing vendor-led implementations
• Background in data modeling, migration, and data quality strategy
• Ability to collaborate across IT, business, and external partners
• Strong communication skills with executive presence

Highly Preferred (Key Differentiator)

• Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems)
• Experience with Salesforce-native or Force.com-based platforms
• Exposure to Third Wave Analytics Lockbox LIMS or similar LIMS solutions
• Understanding of laboratory workflows, sample lifecycle management, or regulated systems

Note: LIMS experience doesn't have to be exact, but candidates with Salesforce + LIMS (or similar operational platforms built on Force.com) will be strongly prioritized.

Nice to Have

• Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated environments
• Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP or enterprise platforms
• Salesforce certifications (Architecture, Integration, Data, etc.), * Do you have 5+ years of experience in a Salesforce Solution Architect or Technical Architect role?
• Have you designed end-to-end Salesforce architecture (data model, integrations, security, and automation) in an enterprise environment?
• Do you have hands-on experience designing solutions on the Salesforce (Force.com) platform?
• Do you have experience architecting integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, finance, data/reporting platforms)?
• Have you worked with modern integration patterns (APIs, events, middleware, or real-time integrations)?
• Have you guided or overseen a vendor-led Salesforce implementation (reviewing architecture, design, and delivery decisions)?
• Have you worked with Salesforce-based or Force.com-based applications beyond traditional CRM use cases (e.g., operational systems, managed packages, or vertical solutions)?
• Do you have experience with data migration, data modeling, and ensuring data quality within Salesforce implementations?
• Are you located in the Washington, DC / Baltimore, MD metro area and able to travel to Leesburg, VA as needed?
