Job description

Requirements

Do you have experience in Time management?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, The Data Team Specialist role will possess key skills and experience which includes entry-level knowledge of international import transportation, import brokerage procedures, U.S. Customs and Border Protection ("Customs"), and Participating Government Agency ("PGA") requirements including the clearance process, classification, and valuation. This position requires meticulous attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure freight forwarding operations environment, while positively contributing to the success of the team.

This role primarily requires the individual to review and validate data extracted from a variety of documents (including but not limited to a commercial invoice and/or packing list) and cross referencing its transference into our Transportation Management System ("TMS"). This individual should be able to communicate articulately any valuable feedback and suggestions (either general and/or regarding their experience with any/all utilized tools) that would contribute to the overall improvement and achievement of their department's objectives and goals.

Previous Work Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years operational freight forwarding (customs brokerage) experience preferred

Education and Certifications

  • High school diploma / GED; Post-secondary education preferred

Experience Requirements and Preferences

  • Fluency in English required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and phone etiquette
  • Effective, clear, and concise communication skills
  • Experience with CargoWise software preferred, but not required
  • Detail oriented with ability to solve problems independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven success in and improving quality, service, safety and client relationship in a fast-paced high-pressure setting
  • Proven competencies in Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and regulations (OSHA)
