Job description
Heat Wagon is seeking a Technical Service Specialist to provide technical support for portable heating equipment and related products. This position serves as a primary technical resource for customers, dealers, service centers, and internal personnel by assisting with equipment troubleshooting, product operation, and repair guidance., * Provide technical support to customers, dealers, and service technicians via phone, email and chat.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, fuel, ignition, airflow, and combustion-related equipment issues.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, service manuals, and technical documentation to diagnose equipment problems.
- Guide customers through diagnostic procedures and corrective actions.
- Document technical support cases and maintain accurate service records.
- Assist with product testing, validation, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Identify recurring product issues and communicate findings to engineering and production teams.
- Support warranty evaluations and service-related investigations.
- Assist in developing technical bulletins, troubleshooting guides, and service documentation.
- Participate in product training for dealers, customers, and internal personnel.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Quality improvement?, Do you have a Trade school?, The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a desire to help customers resolve issues efficiently and professionally., * Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with combustion equipment, HVAC systems, generators, industrial equipment, or construction equipment is preferred.
- Technical degree, trade school certification, or equivalent field experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of gas-fired, oil-fired, or electric heating equipment.
- Understanding of combustion systems, ignition controls, flame safeguards, motors, and control circuits.
- Experience supporting dealers, contractors, or service technicians.
- Familiarity with product testing and root-cause analysis.
