*Design and oversee district-wide network and access security methodologies.

*Provide direct support for all network security activities, including periodic security audits.

*Develop technical assistance guides for end users.

*Provide research and data analysis to assist in decision making, including preparing and presenting statistical reports as requested.

*Serve as a resource person when developing and revising district policies and procedures as they relate to network security.

*Assure compliance with district security standards.

*Keep current with hardware and software technology through education courses and self-study.

*Provide teachers, administrators, and district staff with technical support in the planning, implementation and support of projects involving network infrastructure.

*Develop short- and long-range plans for assigned network outfitting projects for new construction and rebuilds in older facilities.

*Mentor and train other technical personnel *Serve as back-up to other positions as assigned.

*Work within the division's established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.

*Participate in the development and implementation of new procedures commensurate with improving operational efficiency.

*Coordinate all required network maintenance and related activities.

*Lead network staff members on network and voice infrastructure projects.

*Support and oversee safe operational practices, including training and monitoring of personnel.

*Assist in the management of the activities of district telecommunications services.

*Coordinate with the Senior Systems Administrator - Cyber Security for all network security activities.

*Maintain a phased project development schedule.

*Develop and execute a system test plan.

*Research, evaluate, configure, and recommend vendor selections for network hardware and software.

*Manage special projects as assigned.

*May require being on call to resolve technical difficulties on a 24/7 basis.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager, Network Engineering, Director of Infrastructure, or CTO.

Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Wireless network deployment projects?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor Degree in a technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience plus specialized postsecondary
technical training, courses, or certifications.
- Five (5) years experience coordinating network systems activities including planning, configuring, and securing voice,
video, and data communication networks.
- Experience working in an educational environment preferred.
- Network related certification such as Cisco Meraki Network Operator (CMNO), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA),
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- Experience must include hands on activities with routers, firewalls, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), intrusion detection
and related network security functions.
- Possess a valid Florida Driver's License; if a holder of any other valid US state-issued Driver's License, agree to acquire a
Florida Driver's License within thirty (30) days of employment, except in a case where accommodation is required.
- Must be able to operate school board vehicles, when assigned, in accordance with operational procedures and School, * Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS) Ability to configure, install,
tune, and load balance current standard wireless network systems and access points.
- Thorough knowledge of local area networking (LAN) and wide area networking (WAN), including routers, switches,
wireless access points, and data line installation.
- Extensive knowledge of the open systems interconnection reference model (OSI) as it applies to hardware, including
cabling, switches, and routing.
- Extensive knowledge of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) specifications.
- Ability to manage, design, implement, and maintain networks.
- Project management and small team leadership skills in implementing complex networks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network failures.
- Ability to monitor network performance and recognize problems.
- Ability to estimate and communicate the impact of applications on network traffic in present or projected network
configurations.
- Strong technology skills with demonstrated analytical ability.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with administrators, associates, and the general public.
- Ability to work flexible schedules in a variety of environments, independently and as part of a team.
